Lockly has consistently impressed us with its sophisticated smart entry locks, and now the company is adding a new model—the Lockly Visage—that boasts facial recognition. The company also announced a new smart home hub that will add Matter compatibility to the Visage and most of the company’s other current locks.
Lockly Visage
The Lockly Visage ($349) boasts onboard facial recognition, so it can unlock its deadbolt as you approach the door—you don’t need to touch it at all. Lockly’s unique Pin Genie numeric keypad is also onboard. It scrambles the order in which the numbers appear, eliminating the risk that telltale fingerprints will allow an intruder to determine your entry code.
The Visage is also fully compatible with the Apple Home app, which means the lock can also be opened with a a Siri voice command or a tap from the user’s iPhone, Apple Watch, or other Apple HomeKey-compatible device. The lock has a built-in Wi-Fi adapter and an onboard fingerprint reader. It supports RFID cards as well.

Lockly
What’s more, with the addition of Lockly’s Matter Matter Link ($79.99), the Lockly Visage will be fully compatible with that smart home standard, too. Lockly says Matter certification will come in 2024.
With the Lockly Mobile app and the Visage’s Wi-Fi connection, property owners gain additional capabilities like remote management, activity tracking, and user profiles. Property owners will be able to oversee permissions no matter where they are located. For those moving up from another Lockly lock, the company’s Air Transfer programing allows owners to transfer user profiles (fingerprint, access codes, RFIDs, etc.) from an existing lock to another with just a few clicks.
The Lockly Visage will be available in a variety of finishes including Satin Nickel and Matte Black in summer 2024.
Lockly Matter Link
The Lockly Matter Link hub ($79.99) will render the Visage and most other Lockly smart locks—including the Flex Touch, Access Touch, and Secure Plus—fully compatible with the Matter smart home ecosystem, pending certification in sometime this year. Those locks will be able to operate in the Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings ecosystems with other Matter-compatible smart home devices.
Lockly has not said precisely when the Lockly Matter Link hub will be available, beyond saying it will be available in 2024.
