Smart home accessory manufacturer SwitchBot took the wraps off a pair of indoor air quality monitors at IFA today. Both the SwitchBot Meter Pro (pictured up top) and the SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) (see below) are equipped with Swiss-made Sensirion sensors that detect indoor temperature and relative humidity every 4 seconds, boasting accuracy of +/- 0.36 Fahrenheit (0.2 degrees Celsius) and +/- 2% relative humidity.
As you’ve probably guessed, the SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) can also measure carbon dioxide levels (taking readings every 30 minutes when the device is operating on battery power, every minute when plugged into a charger, or on demand, within 1 second). Both devices display their readings, along with the date and time, on LCD displays.
With the SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor), you can indoor carbon dioxide levels in addition to indoor temps and relative humidity levels. To also track weather forecasts and the date and time, you’ll need one of SwitchBot’s two smart home hubs.

You’ll need a SwitchBot Hub 2 or a SwitchBot Hub Mini Matter Enabled to get local outdoor temperature, relative humidity, and weather forecasts with either device.
Users can set their own “comfort” level based on indoor temperature and humidity, and you can be notified of environmental changes with three types of alerts: a 100dB alarm, a visual alert with flashing numbers and different colors, and notifications via either of the SwitchBot hubs or through email (those last two notifications require a SwitchBot hub).
Both of the monitors can trigger automations when environmental data exceeds preset limits you’ve established, including activating a SwitchBot Circulator Fan or a SwitchBot Evaporative Humidifier. The smart appliances are also compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Siri Shortcuts, IFTTT, and Samsung SmartThings. Matter support is enabled if the monitors are connected to either of SwitchBot’s latest hubs.
The SwitchBot Meter Pro is available now in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and E.U. for $29.99 ($35.99 CAD, £34.99, €34.99). The carbon-dioxide-detecting SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) is likewise available now for $69.99 ($79.99 CAD, £59.99, €69.99).
