Primax Electronics Ltd is showing three new smart access solutions at CES this week. The products include the WallE-S smart lock, Scott-M smart reader, and the Buzz-HaLow doorbell.
WallE-S Smart AI
The WallE-S Smart AI Door Lock uses 3D facial recognition via a sensor embedded in its exterior escutcheon to verify the user’s identity and unlock the deadbolt. Primax says its facial recognition technology can recognize users in less than one second and with high accuracy, even in low light. The lock supports remote face enrollment and has a maximum capacity of more than 10,000 faces, making it well-suited to small and medium-sized businesses as well as homes.

The Scott-M smart reader can be unlocked via facial recognition, NFC cards, passcodes, and mobile apps in instead of traditional keys.

The WallE-S can also be unlocked with passcodes, NFC cards, mobile apps, or traditional keys. It includes additional security features including proximity detection, video, and two-way audio, and runs on a rechargeable battery.
Buzz-HaLow video doorbell
As its name indicates, the Buzz-HaLow doorbell solution leverages Wi-Fi HaLow, a wireless communication standard that offers longer range, lower power consumption, and better penetration through obstacles than traditional Wi-Fi standards. The doorbell’s integrated camera has a 178-degree field of view and captures HD video at up to 30 frames per second. It also features motion detection, black-and-white night vision, and two-way audio. Primax says the Buzz-HaLow is designed for application integrators and specialist distributors catering to large estates, buildings, off-site entrances, and off-grid structures.
Scott-M smart reader
The Scott-M is a smart reader that enables access via facial recognition, NFC cards, passcodes, and mobile apps in lieu of traditional keys. The reader is powered by CR123 batteries, but it’s not clear there’s a back-up provision should those batteries die while you’re away from home. Primax says the reader supports Wi-Fi 6 and Matter.
Primax hasn’t yet announced pricing and release dates for these products.
