CES is just days away, and with it comes a wave of wild, eye-catching products like the DukeBox, a concept speaker from LG that combines the old-school cool of vacuum tubes with cutting-edge OLED technology.
A product of LG Labs, a branch of LG that’s “focused on delivering experimental yet innovative products,” the DukeBox is a “modernized jukebox” that boasts a series of vacuum tubes sitting behind a transparent OLED display, according to LG.
The OLED can show anything from track information to movies and other “high-quality content,” including a “cozy fireplace ambiance” that leaves the vacuum tubes visible.
Besides the OLED visuals, the DukeBox promises plenty of sonic goodness, including front-firing drivers in the bottom module along with a 360-degree speaker sitting on top.
Overall, the DukeBox is the type of headline-grabbing product that’s perfect for CES—and naturally, there’s no word of how much the DukeBox will cost, or when it will ship. That said, it will make for a fabulous CES demo.
The DukeBox isn’t the only out-there product that LG Labs is bringing to CES. The division also plans to show off a revamped version of Bon Voyage, a “customized living space” that’s essentially a high-tech camping trailer.

The Bon Voyage by LG Labs is a high-tech camper trailer that can house a variety of furnishings and smart products.

Designed to be towed by a car or parked outdoors, the 2 x 3.8 x 2.2-meter (WxDxH) Bon Voyage can be outfitted with a bed, a refrigerator, an electric stove, a water purifier, and other furnishings and smart devices.
Finally, LG Labs will have the DUOBO, a capsule coffee maker that can extract two different coffee pods at the same time.
We’re hoping to get more details about the DukeBox, the Bon Voyage, and the DUOBO once CES kicks off next week in Las Vegas, so stay tuned.
