Though pricing isn’t available yet, LG is reaching for mindshare ahead of CES by announcing its 2024 QNED (i.e., LED-backlit LCD) TV lineup today. The big news (pun intended) is the addition of an 86-inch QNED80T and a 98-inch QNED85T. The 80T and 85T are the lower tiers of LG’s 4K UHD QNED TV lineup.
The QNED80T will also be available in the same 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes that were available last year. Keeping the new big guy company, the QNED85T will be offered in 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, and 86-inch models.
The slim-design, 4K UHD, mini-LED QNE90T will be sold in 65-, 75-, and 86-inch sizes, while the 8K UHD, mini-LED QNED99T sticks with last year’s 75- and 86-inch SKUs.

Each of LG’s QNED TVs will run the highly rated webOS platform, version 3.0, that shipped just a couple of months ago. The ability distinguish the voices of users and thereby tailor the interface to their preferences–without needing them to specifically log in–is its claim to fame.
LG’s webOS will no doubt prove sprightlier on LG’s 2024 4K UHD models, thanks to the company’s new a8 processor. LG describes it as an offshoot of the a9 Gen 5 chip that powers its past and new 8K UHD 99T-series TVs. We’ll be back with pricing and OLED news when LG provides it.
