Bemis Manufacturing announced several new additions and features to its Bio Bidet line of toilet-seat bidets at CES, with the goal of spurring mass adoption in the U.S. market. Central to its effort is the BB-1200 Bidet Toilet seat, which will go on sale this spring at a price of $399.
The Bemis BB-1200 bidet toilet seat is the first such product that can interface with the Bemis Living app. The new device includes a heated seat, unlimited warm water, and an air dryer. For those who find app-controlled hygiene a little weird, the BB-1200 can also be controlled by a wireless remote (included).

But we think the app is a good idea. Unless you’re living on your own, you’ll need to ensure the bidet’s settings are just how you like them each time you hit the John (although more expensive models do allow for presets). You can do this with the Bemis Living app on your phone. The app also provides guidance for folks who are completely new to the bidet experience.
Bemis is also showing its Empower CleanCare System at CES. A bidet seat designed for people dealing with incontinence, it provides a three-step process consisting of a bidet wash with a unique spray pattern, followed by a spray with pH-balanced water to neutralize acids on the skin, and then a “nourishing spray to protect the user’s skin from the effects of urinary and fecal incontinence.”
