Swimming pools are a high-maintenance luxury. If you don’t want to pay someone else to handle the cleaning, Beatbot says its Aquasense Pro pool-cleaning robot will not only keep your pool clean—from skimming the surface to scrubbing its floor and walls—but that it can also dispense clarifying agents appropriate to the size of your pool to keep the water crystal clear.
The Aquasense Pro, currently on display at CES, is outfitted with 20 sensors, including dual gyroscopes and “dual ultrasonic AI sensors” that scan its environment and enable it to adapt its navigation to changing conditions.
Artificial intelligence helps the robot understand where it’s been and which areas still need to be cleaned, so it can provide 100 percent coverage without wasting battery power. When the robot has finished its work, it will automatically release any water inside it, return to the surface, and dock to make it easier to retrieve.

Beatbot says its Aquasense Pro pool-cleaning robot is the first to be able to skim the surface of the water as well as a pool’s walls and floor.
Beatbot
Equipped with nine motors, four brushes (two in the front, two in the back), and two filters that can capture particulate matter as small as 150 microns, Beatbot says it has built the first pool-cleaning robot that can skim the surface of the water, vacuuming debris before it can sink to the bottom, in addition to cleaning the pool’s hard surfaces. A 10,000mAh lithium battery delivers up to 9.5 hours of running time.
If this pool-cleaning robot delivers everything its manufacturer promises, it will be biggest advancement we’ve seen in this category. But as you’ve probably guessed, it’s not cheap: The AquaSense Pro is priced at $2,199. Its less-expensive cousin, the AquaSense, loses the AI and the clarifier-dispersant feature and costs $1,299. Both are more expensive than our current top pick in this category, the $999 Aiper Seagull Pro.
Both Aquasense pool-cleaning robots are available for pre-order at Beatbot.com.
